Forest school approach

  • Set in a wonderful location with private woodland and open spaces in Wilton Park, our qualified and experienced team offer exciting and stimulating activities and experiences covering all areas of learning. We have a very large outdoor space where children can thrive and learn about the nature around them, whilst being nurtured by our experienced team to extend and engage them.

Forest School is a holistic learning process that aims to help children learn outdoors. It promotes and supports outdoor learning using only natural resources and is an inspirational process that offers children opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences and activities which are linked to the curriculum.

At Beaconsfield we have introduced our new forest school approach which will allow the children to engage with nature, develop imagination, thinking and confidence through a range of activities. Children can make dens, climb trees, get creative with nature by using natural objects to make faces in the mud and creating animal habitats for example a hedgehog hut. As well as structured activities covering all areas of the EYFS curriculum, children will be given free exploration within nature alongside staff to discover nature for themselves in a safe environment.
